Kaiser Leuchten (Gebr. Kaiser & Co. Leuchten KG) was founded in 1895 by Hermann Kaiser. Initially, the company produced parts for other lighting companies, but soon began to develop oil lamps, cooking products and ovens.
With the start of the conversion to electric lighting, Kaiser began manufacturing electrical parts. After the Second World War, Kaiser Leuchten became one of the largest lighting manufacturers. Known for its collaboration with designer Chritian Dell and Bauhaus design, Kaiser found success.
In the 1970s, the Thorn Lighting group bought the Kaiser brand.
Kaiser is recognized for its high industrial quality and tradition of German engineering.
