Brasil Faz Design 20 years of national design history by Marli Brandão

Brazilian Creativity on the International Scene, by Marili Brandão, Christian Ullmann and Sandra Nedopetalski tells the story of this event, which took place in Milan for the first time in 1995 and was responsible for introducing important designers such as Fernando and Humberto Campana, Fernando Jaeger and Pedro Paulo Franco to the international scene. The work was based on records from Brasil Faz Design catalogs, reports published in the national and international press and testimonies from around 70 designers and professional collaborators who took part in the event over the course of its 6 editions. At the end, texts were gathered from academics who wrote about the people who were honored in each of the editions. The book records this important part of the history of Brazilian design, its challenges, dreams and achievements.
